"Clearly, Colorado is being killed ...We're on our knees right now."

Edward Kubo Jr.
US Attorney, State of Colorado

Age: 29
Gender: Male
Location: Denver, Colorado

I started using meth as a replacement when my drug of choice, cocaine, was unavailable. At first, it was just a way to take the cocaine cravings away. But within 1 month I was using every day. Within 3 months I had lost my job, as a bartender, and was now stealing from my wife to pay for my habit.

I quit Meth and relapsed several times until finally, my wife left me and filed for divorce, threatening to take my sons away from me forever. At that moment, I realized I had given up everything for meth. Thankfully, I was able to get help and rebuild my life. I am in recovery now! I have a great career and I am raising my sons as a great father.

The battle isn't over for me, and it never will be. However, I am winning the fight!
